What is a Position?


The League of Women Voters takes action on an issue only when we have
a position addressing that particular issue. Members must study and come
to consensus on an issue, in order to form a position. This thorough grassroots
process ensures that our advocacy is well considered by a broad range of people,
is understood by our members, and reflects a sense of the political environment.

Coordination of Positions


The League of Women Voters stands behind its positions at all three levels of the organization: local, state, and national. While the focal point of the positions may be different, their consistency is our strength. LWVSB therefore takes measures to ensure that its positions conform to National League (LWVUS) and State League (LWVC) positions. You can learn more about these positions by following these links:
